Mumbai: BMC put an end to speculation about closure of 6 out of 9 Jumbo Kovid centers

BMC says that none of the Kovid centers built in the city have been closed yet. Continuous talks are going on with the doctors of the task force. The task force will consider whether to close the Jumbo Kovid Center or to keep it operational in the coming few days and its decision will be followed.

BMC Additional Commissioner Suresh Kakani dismissed the talk of closure of Jumbo Kovid Centers and said that Jumbo Kovid Center has been an important contributor to the fight against Corona in Mumbai. Cases have come down in Mumbai, so we have kept 3 out of 9 Kovid centers operational at present. Remaining 6 Jumbo Centers "standby mode" has been placed on. It would be wrong to call standby mode off. We are not ruling out the possibility of a fourth wave.
