The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had tied up with two companies in February this year to make this facility available on all other corridors. According to DMRC, by the end of this year, at least two such entry and exit AFC gates will be installed at all stations, which will allow NCMC to pay the fare
One thousand AFC gates will be installed at stations
While under this system, about one thousand AFC gates with new features will be installed at stations by the end of the year. Apart from this, by the year 2023, about 3300 AFC gates will be upgraded. Apart from this, 350 new gates with NCMC feature will be installed on three corridors under construction of Phase IV. Therefore, in the coming days, passengers will be able to pay the fare by scanning the QR code present at the AFC gate with Rupay card and mobile.
