Uttarakhand News: In Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, on Sunday, members of a Hindu organization had alleged that some people were being forced into religious conversion by luring them. There was an uproar about this too. Police (Dehradun Police) has registered an FIR on this matter. Police says that further action will be taken after investigation. Let us tell you that in order to stop the cases of conversion in the state, the State Government (Government of Uttarakhand) has recently passed the proposal of strict law for conversion in the cabinet meeting.
What are the allegations of the people of Hindu organization
On Sunday, a case came to light in Dehradun itself in which some people of Hindu organization alleged that about 40 Hindus were converted to Christianity by luring them inside a house. People associated with missionaries are getting conversions done. Hindu organizations protested about this and there was a lot of uproar. Police is now investigating by registering a case. The conversion law was brought in Uttarakhand in 2018. Right now this law has been amended and made stricter. Let us tell you that since 2018, this is the sixth case related to conversion, while investigation is going on in all others.
What SP City said on this matter
SP City Dehradun Sarita Doval while giving information said that, a complaint has been given by the complainant in Police Station Dalanwala that he had gone to a prayer meeting. And there an attempt was made to convert religion by giving allurement. A case has been registered on his Tahrir in this regard. Action will be taken on the basis of whatever things come out in the investigation.
