PM Narendra Modi in Assam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a tour of Assam today. Here he will lay the foundation stone of many projects as well as address a rally. This rally will be held in Diphu. Apart from this, PM Modi will dedicate 7 cancer hospitals to the name of the nation. He will also participate in a public function to be held in Dibrugarh, Assam. He will reach here around 3 pm. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will also be present with him on this occasion. Along with this, the state government has made elaborate security arrangements for this visit of PM Modi.
The complete program of PM Modi is as follows
PM Narendra Modi, he will address the Peace, Unity and Development rally at Diphu in Anglong district at 11 am on Thursday. After this, he will reach Dibrugarh at 1:45 pm, where he will dedicate the cancer hospital to the nation. After this, finally at 3 pm, he will reach Khanikar Maidan where 6 cancer hospitals will be dedicated to the name of the nation and will lay the foundation stone of 7 new cancer hospitals. PM will also lay the foundation stone of Amrit Sarovar projects during this period. These lakes will be developed by the state government at a cost of Rs 1150 crore.
It has been told that a total of 17 affordable cancer hospitals are being built in the state by Assam Care Foundation in collaboration with the government and Tata Trusts. . A total of 10 hospitals are to be built in the first phase. Out of these, 7 hospitals have been constructed and 3 are under construction. 7 more hospitals are to be built in the second phase.
Security has been beefed up for the tour
Tight security arrangements have been made for PM Modi’s visit. . Chief Minister Hemant Bishwa Sarma himself took stock of the preparations. The Chief Minister has twice visited Dibrugarh and Karbi Anglong districts to take stock of the preparedness. Holidays have been declared for schools, colleges and state government offices in both the districts. The Prime Minister is scheduled to reach the Dimapur airport in Nagaland at 11 am on Thursday. From here he will leave for Karbi Anglong district of Assam by helicopter.
