National Herald Case: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is going to appear in front of Enforcement Directorate (ED) once again tomorrow. Congress is once again preparing for a big demonstration for this meeting to be held on Monday. A large number of workers from all over the country are coming to Delhi. Many of them have started gathering at the party office and plan to spend the night there. Let us tell you that senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had sought permission to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on Monday for questioning in the alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper.
Congress accuses Center of vendetta politics
Earlier on Wednesday, after eight hours of interrogation for the third consecutive day, Rahul Gandhi was summoned by the ED again for the fourth time on June 17. After which the date of production was shifted to June 20 on the request of Rahul Gandhi. The National Herald case pertains to alleged financial irregularities in Congress-promoted Young Indian. At the same time Congress has described the action of ED as the politics of vendetta by the Center against the opposition leaders.
Inquiries held for almost 30 hours so far
Rahul Gandhi has been questioned in this case for about 30 hours so far. Party leaders and workers continued to protest on the roads leading to the ED office during this period. After which many leaders were also taken into custody. Congress leaders also accused the Delhi Police of misbehavior. At the same time, Congress workers also protested in many parts of the country including Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan on Thursday.
