Sachin Pilot contested 16th Lok Sabha elections from Ajmer constituency and lost to BJP’s Sanwar Lal Jat by a margin of 1,71,983 votes.
On 13 January 2014, he was appointed as the President of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee.
Sachin Pilot contested and won from Tonk assembly seat in Rajasthan assembly elections 2018.
