Materials for making Besan Gatta
One cup Besan
Half tsp Coriander seeds
One quarter tsp Ajwain
Half tsp Turmeric
One quarter tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp curd
2 tbsp water
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Tbsp Cumin
1 tsp Kasoori Fenugreek
1 Bay leaf
1 tsp Saunf
1 tsp Asafoetida
1 tsp garlic ginger paste
one quarter tsp turmeric
1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
one quarter tsp cumin powder
1 cup curd
Salt to taste
one quarter tsp garam masala powder
2 tbsp coriander leaves
How to make
First of all, grease a cake tin.
Mix all the spices of Gatte in gram flour and put it in the greased tin.
Steam it in pressure cooker or rice cooker for 20 minutes.
After removing it from the cooker, keep it to cool down and then cut into small cubes.
Now heat oil in a pan. In this oil, cumin, bay leaf, asafoetida and fennel Add.
Now add onion and ginger-garlic paste to it and stir well.
Add turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder and salt to the pan. Cook it for 5 minutes.
Now add curd to it and stir it well. Cook it for 5 minutes and after that add one and a half cups of water and let it come to a boil.
