Ravindra Jadeja returns to cricket after 5 months, showing strength in Ranji Trophy

Ranji Trophy: Indian team star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was running away from cricket for a long time. Jadeja was injured during the Asia Cup played in 2022. After this he missed an important tournament like T20 World 2022 Cup. Now Jadeja has fully recovered from his injury and has started preparing for the Test series to be played against Australia. Jadeja has returned to the cricket field after five months.

In the Ranji Trophy being played these days, Jadeja is appearing on the field from Saurashtra. In this match which started between Saurashtra and Tamil Nadu from Tuesday, January 24, Jadeja is handling the command of Saurashtra. This match of Elite Group-B is being played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In this match Tamil Nadu’s team elected to bat first after winning the toss. 

13 overs bowled so far

Till the writing of this news, Ravindra Jadeja has thrown a total of 13 overs from Saurashtra. In this, he spent only 20 runs. At the same time, he has thrown 2 maiden overs. However, he did not get any success. Before the match, Jadeja took part in the practice session on Monday, where he practiced both bowling and batting. Jadeja has been made a part of the Indian team for the first two Test matches against Australia. So it is very important for him to be fully fit before the series. 

Jadeja had said while talking before this match, “I am feeling very good after coming back to the field. Very excited I hope it will prove beneficial for the team and me. Look, my first priority after getting on the field is to stay fit. 100 percent fit.”
