Resolution passed in two states to make Rahul Gandhi president

Congress President Election: In the midst of Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, now the question is rising loudly that who will be the next president of the party. The demand for making former party president and MP Rahul Gandhi as party president once again has started. Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan have passed resolutions supporting him to take over as party chief.

Rahul Gandhi was the Congress President from 2017 to 2019. When Rahul Gandhi was elected Congress President in 2017, state units passed a similar resolution. He resigned after the party’s defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Since then, Sonia Gandhi is the interim president of the party.
