Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has gifted a project worth Rs 6,800 crore to Madhya Pradesh. The Union Minister inaugurated all these schemes on Monday. In these projects, especially 28 National Highways are to be constructed, the total length of which is 550 km. Nitin Gadkari said during the inauguration ceremony that the construction of Powai, Orchha, Harpalpur, Kaithi Padariya Kala, Patna Tamauli, Jasso, Nagaud and Sagar Link Road bypasses will reduce the traffic pressure in the city. He further said that by the year 2024, the kind of road network being developed in the state will be better than the roads of America.
Nitin Gadkari said that with the construction of the Bhopal-Kanpur Economic Corridor, the transportation of cement and minerals would be easier and the cost of logistics would be reduced. He said that with the construction of this corridor, the connectivity of Bhopal to Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi will be better. Traffic will be safe with the construction of a 2-lane road with paved shoulders from Tikamgarh to Orchha.
