Russian ambassador got applause by saying a proverb in Hindi on India-Russia friendship, said Denis Alipov

Denis Alipov Dosti Remark in Hindi: During the inaugural session of the Russian Culture Festival on Monday (November 21) in the capital Delhi, Ambassador of Russia Denis Alipov By giving an example in Hindi, people got applauded. Alipov is the Ambassador of Russia to India. “There is a popular saying in India- dosti se bhihi bhi hota nahi hota,” said Alipov, who said the festival aims to strengthen human relations through cultural programmes. 

Alipov has made this comment at a time when India and Russia are celebrating the completion of 75 years of mutual diplomatic relations. It is noteworthy that the cultural exchange between the two countries was affected due to the spread of the Corona epidemic. Alipov stressed that the two countries are resuming the tradition of mutual cultural festivals after two years of online exchanges due to the pandemic.

The Russian Ambassador further said

‘Indians will be impressed by Russian performance, flavors and culture’

Apart from Delhi, the Russian Culture Festival will also be celebrated in Kolkata and Mumbai. It started on Monday and will run till 29 November. During the inauguration, the Russian Ambassador hoped that the Indian public would be influenced by the flavor and culture of Russia. He said, “After Delhi, the festival will move to Kolkata and then Mumbai and will come back to Delhi on the 29th. I am sure the Indian public will be impressed and enjoy the performance of Russian artistes, taste of food and culture.”

Performance by famous Lezginka group

At the beginning of the festival, the artists performed the special folk art of Russia. Ensemble Lezginka, famous for Russia’s unique folk dance, performed. The Lezginka group of Dagestan was founded in 1958 and has the honor of the State Academy. The artists of this group have shown their art skills in 75 countries. The group has been a winner in 52 world famous festivals based on folklore dance competitions. Lezginka has been performing for professional companies.

Let us tell you that the federal state-funded cultural organization ROSCONCERT is organizing this festival in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations under the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of External Affairs of India.
