Sania Mirza-Rohan Bopanna reached the final of mixed doubles, defeated the pair in the semi-finals

Sania Mirza Rohan Bopanna Australian Open 2023: The pair of India’s star tennis players Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna has reached the mixed doubles final of the Australian Open. The Indian pair defeated the third seeded pair of Neil Skupski of Great Britain and Desirea Krawczyk of the US 7-6, 6-7, 10-6 in the semi-finals. The match lasted for one hour and 52 minutes. Sania Mirza is playing the last grand slam of her tennis career. She will retire from tennis after the Australian Open.

In this match played at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena, the Indian pair had to struggle a lot to defeat their rivals. The Indian pair won the first set 7-6. In the second set, the pair of Neil Skupski and Desirea Krawczyk of the US came back strongly to win 7-6. And the third set was decided through a tiebreaker in which the Indian pair won 10-6. 

My last Grand Slam

Sania Mirza expressed happiness after reaching the final of mixed doubles. During this he said, it was a wonderful match. In which there were many ups and downs. This is my last Grand Slam and playing with Rohan is special in itself. He was my mixed doubles partner when I was 14. Today I am 36 years old and he is 42 years old. We are playing now. We have a strong bond. Remember, this Indian pair was given a walkover ahead of Latvia and Spain’s pair of Jelena Ostapenko and David Vega Hernandez in the quarter-final match on Tuesday.
