Shinde camp gets permission for Dussehra rally at BKC ground, no decision yet on Shivaji Park

Maharashtra News: Pending the decision to allow the Shiv Sena faction to hold its annual Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s camp’s camp for Dussehra rally at a ground in BKC. The application for the same has been approved by MMRDA. However, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has rejected the Shiv Sena Uddhav Thackeray group’s application to book the Bandra Kurla Complex ground for the rally.

Shinde fans adamant on rallying at Shivaji Park

However, Shinde fans said that they are adamant on holding their rally at Shivaji Park. It is being speculated that some more Shiv Sena leaders and elected representatives may join Shinde. Eknath Shinde Former councilor and spokesperson of the group Sheetal Mhatre said, "We have not been informed yet officially (about the BKC ground being allotted)…we have been told that they have accepted our letter." Mhatre said that “But we wish that it should be organized in Shivaji Park. Traditionally, the Dussehra rally takes place at Shivaji Park. So, our first priority is Shivaji Park."
