In the previous season i.e. IPL 2022, he scored 483 runs at an average of 34.50 and strike rate of 132.33, which was the most runs in any season before this season. Gill has now hit 71 fours in IPL 2023. He is present at number three in the list of hitting most fours. Yashasvi Jaiswal of Rajasthan Royals is at number one in the list with 82 fours.
