IND vs AUS ODI, Sanju Samson: Sanju Samson has once again been ignored by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It was expected that Sanju Samson would be made part of the team in place of the injured Shreyas Iyer in the ODI series against Australia, but this did not happen. The selection committee headed by Shiv Sunder Das did not announce a replacement for Shreyas Iyer for the three-match ODI series against Australia.
Sanju’s figures are excellent in ODIs
The ODI series will begin on March 17, Friday, the first match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Sanju Samson could be included in the team for this series. At present, he averages 66 in ODIs, but once again he has been ignored by the BCCI. In the first match of the series, Hardik Pandya will take charge of the team in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma will join the team from the second match.
Iyer had back pain during the fourth Test
Even before the Test series, Iyer was in the National Cricket Academy due to his injury. There he did 15 days of rehab. Iyer missed the first Test and joined the team from the second Test played in Delhi. Significantly, the final of the World Test Championship against Australia is also to be played, so no haste can be done regarding Iyer.
