Rahul Dravid On Australi’s Spin Bowling: Indian cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid praised Australia’s spin bowling after winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2-1. The last Test played between the two countries in Ahmedabad was a draw. Earlier, India had taken a 2-0 lead by winning the matches played in Nagpur and Delhi. But in the third Test in Indore, Australia counterattacked and defeated India by 9 wickets. Kangaroo team’s spin Nathan Lyon took 11 wickets in the Indore Test. He was the second bowler to take the most wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Leone took 19 wickets in the series. Apart from them, Todd Murphy 11 and Matthew Kuhnman were successful in taking 8 wickets in the entire series. Australia’s excellent spin attack was praised by Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid. According to him, this is the best spin attack after 10 years.
Dravid praises fiercely
After the Ahmedabad Test draw, Indian cricket team head coach Rahul Dravid said, Australian spinners under the leadership of Nathan Lyon have been exceptional. He has been performing brilliantly for Australia for many years. But Nathan Lyon was exceptional throughout the series. The control he showed for Pat Cummins and Steve Smith under pressure was fantastic. Both young spinners Matthew Kuhnman and Todd Murphy fully supported Lyon. We have seen many times that foreign teams have only one good spinner and others have squandered runs, but credit goes to these two young spinners, they withstood that pressure and took wickets.
Best spin attack after 10 years
During the conversation, Rahul Dravid said, Australia’s best spin attack in the last 10 years came on India tour. According to him, ‘A lot of people were saying that he would have to play for the quality of spin. Some people were saying that Monty Panesar and Graeme Swann probably haven’t played few spinners of this quality or spells of this kind in the last decade. They have played individual spinners who have been great over the years. But it is a quality spin attack. I think it is the best in the last 10 years.’
