Sourav Ganguly On MS Dhoni’s Captaincy: Chennai Super Kings team became the first finalist of IPL 2023. CSK, captained by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, defeated defending champions Gujarat Titans by 15 runs in Qualifier-1 on May 23 and confirmed their place in the final. Last season i.e. IPL 2022, the Chennai team was at number 9 in the points table. Meanwhile, former Indian player and BCCI President Sourav Ganguly praised the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
Chennai Super Kings qualified for the playoffs by winning 8 out of 14 league matches under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. One match of the team was inconclusive in the league stage. After this, the team played Qualifier-1 against Gujarat Titans by making number two place in the points table and got the ticket for the final.
Sourav Ganguly talking about Dhoni’s captaincy said, “This experienced player showed how big matches are won. Dhoni and his team have performed brilliantly this season. Dhoni did wonders in his captaincy.”
