IPL: Dhoni's CSK reached the final for a record 10th time, such a record

Chennai Super Kings In IPL: Chennai Super Kings is the second most successful team of IPL. Chennai has won the title four times so far. Chennai had made it to the finals in the very first season of IPL in 2008, where the team had to face defeat against Rajasthan Royals. After this, CSK made it to the finals for the second time in 2010, when the team won its first title by defeating Mumbai. On the other hand, in the next year i.e. IPL 2011 also, Chennai won by making a place in the finals, when Chennai defeated RCB in the title match.

After this the team also reached the finals in 2012, 2013 and 2015, but then the team had to face defeat at the hands of Kolkata and Mumbai twice respectively. At the same time, the team once again managed to make it to the finals in 2018, when CSK won its third IPL title by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad. Whereas, Chennai reached the finals in the next year i.e. 2019 as well, but then they had to face defeat against Mumbai.

After this, in 2021, Chennai made it to the final for the 9th time and won their fourth title by defeating KKR. Now once again the team has secured a place in the final by defeating Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2023. This will be the 10th final of Chennai, which will be played on 28 May. This time Chennai is playing its 12th season in IPL. Chennai has lost 5 of the 9 finals played so far and won 4.
