IPL 2023: Indian Premier League, the Sunrisers Hyderabad team is under question due to poor performance. Most questions are being raised about why India’s fastest bowler Umran Malik is not being given a place in the playing 11 this season. This question has become more serious due to the kind of answer Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Markram has given regarding Umran Malik not playing.
Before the match played against RCB on Thursday, Markram was asked a question about Umran Malik not playing. Responding to this, Markram said, “To be honest, I don’t know. He is such a player who can prove to be the X factor. Umran bowls at a speed of more than 150 kilometers per hour. I don’t know what is happening behind the scenes. But Umran can prove to be the X factor.”
In this season, Umran Malik has got to play in 7 out of 12 matches. However, during this time the performance of Umran Malik was not as expected. Umran has been able to take only 5 wickets in seven matches.
Hyderabad’s performance has been poor
Last year though, Umran Malik impressed everyone with his bowling. In 2022, Umran Malik managed to take 22 wickets while showing amazing skills with the ball. After this Umran Malik got a chance to play for Team India. Umran Malik took 24 wickets in limited overs playing 16 matches.
The effect of Umran Malik not being able to do wonders has also been seen on the performance of Hyderabad. This year, the Hyderabad team has managed to win only four out of 13 matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad is present at the last position in the points table. Hyderabad does not even have a chance to improve its position in the points table.
