India vs Australia, WTC Final 2023: The Indian team has to play the final match of the World Test Championship (WTC) with the Australian team from June 7 in England. Regarding this, the players of the Indian team will be sent to England in 3 batches. The first batch of Indian WTC team members, who were among the teams that did not reach the playoffs of the 16th season of IPL, will leave for England on 23 May. Apart from Virat Kohli, it includes Ravichandran Ashwin, Akshar Patel, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav as key players.
The first batch under the leadership of Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid will leave for England today. After RCB did not reach the playoffs, Virat Kohli is also leaving with the first batch to prepare for the WTC final match and fast bowler Mohammad Siraj is also included in it. In a statement to PTI, a BCCI source said that the team will leave in a total of 2 or 3 batches.
Jaidev Unadkat will also leave for England
Fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat, who was injured during practice in the nets in the 16th season of IPL, will also leave for England with the first batch. Unadkat is yet to fully recover from his shoulder injury. BCCI’s medical team will continue to monitor his fitness in London and a decision on Unadkat’s availability will be taken accordingly.
