Summer action plan will start to reduce pollution in Delhi, focus on open burning

High level meeting on April 21
500 teams of 10 departments will be deployed under Anti Open Burning Campaign. Apart from this, the Anti Road Dust Campaign will be started for a month from April 15. Under the Anti Road Dust Campaign, 78 mechanical road sweeping machines and 587 water sprinkling machines have been received by the roads of Delhi. He said that a high-level meeting will also be held with all the departments at the Delhi Secretariat on April 21 to resolve the incidents of fire at the landfill site.  

Anti Open Burning Campaign 
500 teams of 10 departments will be deployed under Anti Open Burning Campaign. These teams will work for 24 hours to monitor and prevent incidents of open burning in Delhi. Its report will be given to the Environment Department from time to time. Along with this, MCD has been instructed to take all appropriate steps to control the incidents of fire at the landfill site. Regarding the resolution of fire incidents at the landfill site, Gopal Rai said that on April 21, a high-level meeting has been held in Delhi Secretariat with experts from DPCC, MCD, IIT Delhi, Environment Department, TERI, DTU, CSE and all other departments.

Anti Road Dust Campaign 
Environment Minister Gopal Rai told about the Anti Road Dust Campaign that this campaign will also be run for a month from April 15. Under this campaign, 78 mechanical road sweeping machines and 587 water sprinkling machines will be used for sprinkling and cleaning the streets of Delhi. Its report will also be given by the Environment Department and all other related departments in the ministry. 

Apart from all this, Tree Plantation Campaign, Urban Farming, Road Side Green Cover, Development of Green Parks, Industrial Pollution, Development of Delhi’s Lakes, Development of City Forest, Eco Club Activities, E-Waste Eco Park, Monitoring of Tree Transplantation, Replacement Different plans have also been prepared on off single use plastic. Environment Minister Gopal Rai told that this action plan will play an important role in the environment improvement and pollution control of Delhi.
