‘Sushma Swaraj like PM Modi and Doval…’, says S Jaishankar on former US Secretary of State’s statement

S Jaishankar while talking to PTI said, “I have seen a part in Pompeo’s book mentioning Sushma Swaraj. I always respected him a lot and had very close and cordial relations with him. I condemn the derogatory terminology used for her. In his book  ‘Never Give an Inch: Fighting for the America I Love’, Pompeo describes Sushma Swaraj in derisive terms. < /p>

Pompeo has also said in his book that America’s neglect of India was a decades-old failure of both the sides. He said, “ We are natural allies because we share a history of democracy, a common language, a relationship between people and technology. India is also a market with high demand for American intellectual property and products.
