This is the third arrest in the alleged sex for job racket. Senior IAS and former Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Jitendra Narayan is the main accused in the case. Narayan was arrested by the Andaman-Nicobar Police from a private resort on 10 November. On the same day before his arrest, his lawyer had applied for his anticipatory bail in the court, which was rejected by the judge. The FIR also names a hotel owner Sandeep Singh alias Rinku as an accomplice, who was arrested on November 14 from Karnal in Haryana.

In the FIR lodged with the police, the girl has alleged that she was taken to the official residence of the Chief Secretary on the pretext of a government job. Rinku introduced him to Rishi. She has alleged that she was forced to drink alcohol at the Chief Secretary’s residence and then gang-raped.
According to the FIR, the girl was subjected to violent sexual assault on two occasions in April and May at Narayan’s residence in Port Blair. The Indian Express quoted the SIT investigation as saying that 20 women were allegedly taken to Narayan’s residence during his year-long tenure in an alleged job sex racket, and some of them even got jobs in lieu of sexual harassment. had gone.
Narayan has been denying the allegations leveled against him. In his letter to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Andaman and Nicobar Administration, he termed the matter as a conspiracy.
