General Naravane is currently in the race for CDS or not

Some defense experts believe that General Naravane has not yet followed the tradition of ‘visits’ of every command and formation before retirement from the post of Army Chief. That happens in the same situation when you are attached to the armed forces. That is, General Naravano is currently in the race for CDS.

Whether the government can replace a serving military officer with a retired military officer as CDS, the discussion is in full swing in South Block (PMO and Ministry of Defense). Although, the Ministry of Defense has never disclosed this publicly, but it is believed that the government had recently talked about reshuffling the rules made for the post of CDS. In this, there has been talk of posting a retired officer for the post of CDS.
