Twitter: The bug has come again on Twitter and this time due to the bug some users are seeing deleted tweets back on their profile. Some users are also seeing re-tweets. However, no statement has been given by the company on this yet. Senior reporter James Vincent of The Verge told through his Twitter account that he is seeing deleted tweets back in 2020. He wrote that when I opened my Twitter account this morning, I found that the old deleted tweets were back.
Open-source developer and former CTO/Chairman of Smoothwall, Richard Morrell, shares similar woes on Mostodon, writing that last November I deleted all my tweets. Along with this, all the likes, re-tweets and media were also deleted. In this way a total of 38,000 tweets were deleted from my account. But this morning when I checked the account, I found that around 34,000 tweets have come back. So far, more than 400 people have told him they’ve been able to see their deleted messages, Morell said, as ZDNet reports.
on may 8th i deleted my tweets (i know the date because i tweeted about it). but when I checked my timeline this morning, Twitter had restored some old re-tweets without warning. it’s yet another illustration of twitter’s unpredictable infrastructure: https://t.co/ACHYUntod

Twitter engineer said this
Twitter’s former site reliability engineer said on the matter that it seems as if Twitter moved a large portion of servers between datacenters and did not properly adjust the topology before re-inserting them into the network, due to which Old data is coming back. Note, officially no information has been shared by the company about this yet.
