Bangladesh news: Two terrorists convicted in the murder of Bangladeshi Hindu writer and blogger Abhijeet Roy and his publisher fled from the court. Both the terrorists have been sentenced to death. The incident happened on Sunday, when both were brought to the court for production.
Hours after the incident, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told reporters that a nationwide alert has been issued to recapture the terrorists. We will also investigate how they escaped. Strict action will be taken against whoever is guilty.
This is how absconding
Both the terrorists escaped from the court premises with the help of some unknown people who came on a motorcycle. Unidentified people riding a motorcycle also threw some chemical at the police, due to which an atmosphere of panic was created there. Taking advantage of this, they fled with their companions.
Police said that Moinul Hasan Shamim alias Sameer alias Imran and Abu Siddiq Sohail have fled from the court. Both are members of the banned terrorist group Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT). Both were brought to the court for hearing in separate cases.
Both have been sentenced to death
It may be noted that in the year 2015, many secular and self-styled atheist writers-publishers were murdered in Bangladesh. Abhijit Roy was the first to be murdered.
