The man stopped the car of the Chief Justice of Kerala HC, abused him fiercely, now the police arrested him

Man Abuses Kerala Chief Justice: Kerala Police has arrested a man from Kochi to Kerala Chief Justice S. Arrested for stopping Manikumar’s car and later for allegedly abusing him. Police said the incident took place when Manikumar was on his way home from the airport. Police said the man, who appeared to be in an inebriated condition, has been identified as M. Tijo. 

Giving more details in the case, the Kerala Police said that the accused suddenly came in front of Chief Justice S Manikumar’s car near Goshree bridge and forcibly stopped him. The man was heard shouting "This is Kerala, not Tamil Nadu." Please tell that the Chief Justice is from the neighboring state of Tamil Nadu. Then later the police officers accompanying Manikumar caught him and handed him over to the local police station.

What did the accused say during interrogation

The person has been arrested under section 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide) of the Indian Penal Code. Police said that during investigation, the accused said that he was angry with the high speed of the car and was not aware of the occupants of the vehicle. Police said that they have not got any clue in this matter so far and inquiries are on.

Case registered under these sections

According to the report of Live Law, Muluvukkad police have registered a case against the accused on the complaint of Chief Justice’s security staff Antony Perera. The complainant alleged that the accused blocked the Chief Justice’s vehicle by riding on his scooter in a rash and negligent manner. The complainant also alleged that the accused tried to threaten and create fear of death. The police have registered a case against the accused under IPC sections 279, 294 (B), 353, 308, 341 and 506.
