Bangladesh Premier League Unmukt Chand: Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is to be played next year. This league will start from 6th January. This is going to be the first time in BPL that an Indian player will be a part of this league. Unmukt Chand, who won the Under-19 World Cup under his captaincy in 2012, is going to be a part of BPL for the first time. Unmukt Chand has been selected by the BPL franchise Chattogram Challengers among the draft players. He gave his name for BPL.

Indian players cannot play foreign leagues

Indian players associated with the BCCI contract cannot play any kind of foreign league. On the other hand, Unmukt Chand has already severed all ties with the BCCI. This is the reason why he is participating in foreign leagues. Any Indian player has to break all ties with the BCCI to play in foreign leagues.

Chattogram Challengers owner Riftuzzaman talking to the media after Unmukt Chand’s inclusion in the team said, “We picked him because we wanted to have an Indian player in our team, we have a fan base in India as well Maybe.”
