under arm ball
This incident happened on 1 February 1981. During this, the third match of the five final matches of the Benson and Hedges World Series Cup was being played between Australia and New Zealand. In this match, New Zealand needed 6 runs to tie the match and bowler Trevor Chappell threw an under arm ball. Then this rule was legal. Because of which the Kiwi team also had to face defeat.
Bouncer’s Law
Earlier fast bowlers were allowed to throw bouncers multiple times in an over. However, the rule regarding bouncers was changed after the Ashes series and its more use of fast bowlers of West Indies from 1970 to 90.
