Pakistan News: The person who leaked the Tax Records of Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has been identified. Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar gave this information. The names of two people have come to the fore in this matter. One person involved in the leak is from Lahore while the other is from Rawalpindi.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar told, at present it is being investigated whether these two people have the right to get tax records or not. He has seen the interim report. The final report in the matter is likely to be received today. He informed that only the concerned officials of the tax department have the right to see and examine the records for review.
It is illegal to make tax records public
The Finance Minister has also expressed the possibility that these people may be allowed to see the income tax records as there is a tax circle in Rawalpindi, where tax related documents are reviewed. It is illegal to make public information related to someone’s tax other than the court’s order, so an inquiry has been ordered in the matter.
Order was given to submit the report in 24 hours
The law does not allow the information related to the income tax of the army chief or any person to be made public without a court order. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had directed Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue, Tariq Mehmood Pasha, to personally lead the inquiry and submit a report within 24 hours.
