Tim’s stormy batting did not work, Hyderabad kept alive the hopes of reaching the playoffs

Mumbai Indians vs Sunrisers Hyderabad: Mumbai Indians faced Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 65th match of IPL 2022. Mumbai had to face defeat by 3 runs in this match.  By winning this match, Sunrisers Hyderabad kept their playoff hopes alive. Tim David at one time had taken the team to the threshold of victory, but after his dismissal, any batsman of Mumbai could score runs quickly and the whole team could score 190 runs in the allotted over for the loss of just 7 wickets. Tim David scored 46 runs in just 18 balls. During this innings, he hit 3 fours and four sixes. While Umran Malik took three wickets in 23 overs for Hyderabad. 

Mumbai’s batsmen disappointed

194 runs score Mumbai got off to a good start while chasing. During this, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan added 95 runs for the first wicket. However, in this match too, after coming close to half-century, Rohit could not make fifty and got out after scoring 48 runs. Sundar made him his victim. After his dismissal, Ishan Kishan also got out after scoring 43 runs. He was made his victim by Umran Malik. 

After his dismissal, Sams and Tilak Verma also could not do much and were out soon. Sams scored 15 and Tilak scored 8 runs. Umran Malik took the wickets of both of these. After his dismissal, Tim David and Tristan Stubbs carried the score forward. Both shared a partnership of 17 runs. However, during this, Tristan Stubbs was run out by making 2. Even after his dismissal, it did not have any effect on Tim David and he carried forward the team’s score. He played an innings of 46 runs in 18 balls. After his dismissal, any batsman could score runs quickly. The team needed 19 runs in the last 2 overs, but after the dismissal of David, none of the Mumbai batsmen could do anything special and the team had to face defeat by 3 runs. Mumbai’s team could only score 190 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 7 wickets. 

Hyderabad made a strong score

Rahul Tripathi (76) and Nicholas Due to the explosive innings of Pooran (38), Sunrisers Hyderabad had set a target of 194 runs to Mumbai Indians in the match of IPL 2022 at Wankhede Stadium. Hyderabad scored 193 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets.  For the team, Priyam Garg and Rahul Tripathi shared a brilliant partnership of 78 runs in 43 balls.
