Orchha: Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday said Madhya Pradesh’s Orchha town, associated with Lord Ram, will be linked with Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya town. He claimed that Madhya Pradesh and Bundelkhand would be connected by 2024. Will bring India’s road infrastructure at par with America. Gadkari was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying program of 18 road projects at Orchha in Niwari district at a cost of Rs 6,800 crore. The program was presided over by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Assembly elections are due in Madhya Pradesh later this year.
Shri Ram Pad-Path will be constructed
Gadkari said that like 84 Kosi Parikrama foot-path is being constructed in Ayodhya, Shri Ram foot-path will be constructed on the same lines connecting Orchha and surrounding areas. Things related to the story should be included in the action plan, as the description of Ayodhya is found in the Puranas, on the same lines prepare an action plan by adding references related to Shri Ram and things related to graffiti etc.
Gadkari said that the Rs 1,500-crore six-lane road being built from Indore to Hyderabad would benefit the Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. Had spent, he is connected to Ayodhya. Similarly Orchha, the birth place of Lord Ram will be connected (through fourth road).
40 thousand crore will be spent on the roads of Madhya Pradesh
Gadkari claimed that the road infrastructure of Madhya Pradesh and Bundelkhand would be at par with that of America by the year 2024. He approved the proposal of the state government for the construction of roads and culverts costing about one thousand crore rupees. He said That the journey from Bhopal to Kanpur can be completed in just 7-8 hours if the four-lane road is built. He said that a huge investment of Rs 40 thousand crore is being made on the construction of roads in Madhya Pradesh. Out of them works worth Rs 25,000 crore are nearing completion.
