United Kisan Morcha will celebrate ‘Fatah Day’ on 19th November, announced to march on 26th November as well

Samyukt Kisan Morcha Fateh Diwas: The United Kisan Morcha has celebrated ‘Fat Day’ Announced to celebrate as Farmer leader Darshan Pal said on Thursday (November 17) that November 19 will be celebrated as Victory Day because on this day last year the central government had ordered the withdrawal of controversial agricultural laws.  

United Kisan Morcha leader Darshan Pal said that a meeting of United Kisan Morcha will be held in Karnal on December 8 to decide on the next phase of the farmer’s movement. Alleging that the Centre’s assurances on the pending demands of the farmers have not been fulfilled, the United Kisan Morcha has also announced marches to Raj Bhawans across the country on 26th November.  

It is worth noting that the farmers had agitated on the borders of Delhi in protest against the three agricultural laws. Farmers started the movement in November 2020. A large number of farmers also died during this movement.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the repeal of three agricultural laws in 2021 on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurab. While addressing the nation, PM Modi had claimed that the laws would have benefited the farmers. He had said that the administration was unable to convince the farmers. After this announcement by PM Modi, the farmers had called off their agitation.
