Nalanda: In Bihar’s Nalanda, on Saturday, criminals gunned down the deputy sarpanch’s husband. The incident took place near Khajuria Baba Sthal of Telhada police station. The criminals fired thrice at Lalit Yadav, the husband of the deputy sarpanch of Korama Panchayat, due to which he died on the spot. Lalit Yadav was returning from his in-laws’ house in Jehanabad. Meanwhile, the criminals who had already ambushed killed him. Police reached the spot and are investigating.

Telhada police station told that on the information of the villagers, the police reached there. Seeing the dead body, it appeared that the person was shot dead. There are three bullet marks on the body. The dead body is being sent to Sadar Hospital in Bihar Sharif for postmortem. Hilsa DSP Krishna Murari Prasad told that Deputy Sarpanch husband Lalit Yadav had gone to his in-laws’ Jehanabad on Friday. He was returning from his in-laws house on Saturday. Meanwhile, the criminals who ambushed from the east opened fire on the Deputy Sarpanch’s husband, due to which he died on the spot. The police is probing the entire matter.
