Virat Kohli could not score a century in the second innings, would have spent 1000 days without a century till the next Test

INDIA vs ENGLAND: The last test match is being played between India and England in Birmingham. This match is part of the Test series played in the year 2021. The last match of the series had to be rescheduled due to Corona. In this match, Virat Kohli failed in both the innings of India. Kohli scored 11 off 19 balls in the first innings and 20 off 40 balls in the second innings. With this, now the fans will have to wait longer for Kohli’s 71st century.

31 runs in the last test
Virat Kohli scored a century against Bangladesh in the day-night test match played in Kolkata on 23 November 2019. This was the 27th century of his Test career. Since then the fans are continuously waiting for Kohli’s century. There were speculations that he could score a century in the last Test against England. But India has batted in both the innings and Virat could only score 31 runs in this match.

Test series to be held in November
Indian team will not play any test match for a few months now this year. Before the T20 World Cup 2022, India will play several bilateral T20 series. After the end of the World Cup, the Indian team will play a two-Test series against Bangladesh in November. This series will be part of the World Test Championship. In such a situation, by the time Virat Kohli plays the next Test match, he will have spent more than 1000 days without a century in the biggest format of cricket.
