Ramcharitmanas Controversy: The war of words continues in Uttar Pradesh after the controversial statement given by Samajwadi Party MLC Swami Prasad Maurya on Ramcharitmanas. At the same time, SP MLAs are also opposing the statement of MLC. While SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is also said to be very angry with the statement of the MLC. He has barred party spokespersons from making statements on the Ramcharitmanas controversy.
SP’s media spokesperson Ashok Yadav said that Swami Prasad or Shafiqur Rahman Burke also speak a lot, but these can be their personal statements. The party has nothing to do with them. If they had anything to do with the party, then what is the use of us party spokespersons.
Many MLAs including Akhilesh Yadav are angry
According to SP sources, Akhilesh Yadav is very angry after Swami Prasad Maurya’s controversial statement on Ramcharitmanas. The SP chief has returned from his Uttarakhand tour on Monday. He can hold a press conference on this issue on Tuesday. Apart from Akhilesh, many MLAs of the party are also distancing themselves from Maurya’s statement.
While SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh, reacting to the statement of Swami Prasad Maurya, has said that Swami is neither a socialist nor a Sanatani. Apart from this, many other MLAs have also expressed their displeasure by calling Akhilesh Yadav.
First Swami Prasad Maurya has demanded a ban on some parts of Ramcharitmanas composed by Tulsidas, saying that they insult a large section of the society on the basis of caste, varna and class. If a section of the society is insulted on the basis of caste, varna and class due to some lines of Ramcharitmanas, then it is certainly not religion but unrighteousness.
