Allahabad High Court Decision: The Allahabad High Court has said that if a person is admitted to the hospital as a patient of Kovid-19 If his death is due to heart failure or due to any other reason, this death will be considered as death due to Kovid-19 and the government will have to give ex-gratia amount to the relatives of the deceased.
Accepting the writ petition filed by Kusum Lata Yadav and several others, a division bench of Justice AR Masoodi and Justice Vikram D Chauhan directed the state authorities to pay ex-gratia amount within a month to the families of dependents of those who died of COVID-19. and asked to pay interest at the rate of nine per cent in case of failure to make payment.
