Pakistan Violence: Action begins against those accused of violence in Pakistan, action will be taken under military law

Pakistan News: Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir said that legal action has started against the accused of violence on May 9. According to Munir, strict action will be taken against the accused involved in the violence under military law. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army chief said this while addressing the garrison officers and soldiers at Corps Headquarters. 

General Aseem Munir, who reached Lahore, while addressing the officers and soldiers of the army, said that legal action has been started against those who conspired and executed the violence. No one will be spared. During this, the army chief paid floral tributes at the martyr’s memorial and paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. He then also visited an army installation and Jinnah House, which was openly attacked and ransacked by politically motivated rioters after Imran Khan’s arrest. 

Punishment may extend to life imprisonment

According to Aseem Munir, if action is taken against the accused under the Army Act and the Secret Act, then the culprits will have to spend their whole life in jail. It may be known that there is a provision of punishment ranging from life imprisonment to death if found guilty under this law. In such a situation, there is a danger for Imran Khan as well.  

Thousands have been arrested 

Let us tell you that after the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan on May 9, his supporters went berserk and violence took place at various places in Pakistan. More than 10 people had died in the violence. Then the protesters targeted military bases. Thousands of people have been arrested in this case so far. Earlier, the army had termed it as a black day in the history of the country.
