The Government of India has introduced several digital apps and platforms in the last few years to make government services easier. These mobile apps provide easy access to many government services. Check out these 5 government services apps that you should have on your mobile phone.

UMANG
Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance (UMANG) is an essential government service app that allows users to avail services from the Centre, states and municipalities. It is integrated with popular customer centric service platforms like Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, National Pension System, myPAN – DigiLocker, Pensioners Portal and Digi Sevak to apply for PAN card.

CBEC GST
This app facilitates tax payers and ensures a smooth transition to Goods and Services Tax (GST). The app has been developed by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, Ministry of Finance. It provides taxpayers with a host of information related to GST- Migration to GST, GST Laws & Rules, New Updates, Frequently Asked Questions etc.

AAYKAR SETU
AAYKAR SETU app has been developed by Income Tax Department (ITD) to solve the queries of tax payers   Users can address their tax queries and concerns through the live chat facility provided by Aayakar Setu. The app also provides many other services of Income Tax Department like filing income tax return, locating tax return preparer, TDS calculator and much more.

M-KAVACH
This is a comprehensive security app for mobile devices that provides protection against hacking and malware attacks. M-Kavach also warns of threats related to misuse of resources like WiFi, Bluetooth, camera and mobile data by preventing unauthorized access. The app allows users to remotely delete data such as contacts on their phones, reset the device to factory settings, as well as facilitate location tracking.

BHIM
Unified Payment Interface (UPI) has become the most convenient and easiest way to transfer money, hence the government launched Bharat Interface for Money (BHIM) mobile app. It enables fast, secure and reliable transactions through mobile phones. Users can send or receive money using UPI payment address, phone number or QR code.
